Ratskeller in Wernigerode

If you could give 0 stars, I would do this. We sat at the table at 6 p.m. and were served at 6:30 p.m. (It was only about 2 cocktails) Nothing happened for an hour and we had to go inside to order again. 20 minutes later a waiter came to tell us that he couldn't bring us a new cocktail because it was not yet 8 p.m. Then of course we left. The only good thing was that the staff was at least friendly. But the other reviews here suggest that this was not an isolated incident. Not recommended!

Eaten delicious. The prices ... fair but not cheap. Sometimes the service took a while. Or maybe it was that day! Solid 4 stars! :-)

We ate schnitzel with fries, it was Eat better snack. Only the ambience was satisfactory. For 16.90 euros I can expect better.

The staff was very friendly and attentive in spite of the hustle and bustle, food arrived at the table quickly after the order and also tasted very good. Only the salmon in the crispy breading was not convincing because it was quite dry. Nevertheless, an overall pleasant visit in a nice atmosphere.

Had ordered a plum cake, apple cake and eggnog cake, instead came 2 x plum cake and one cream cake. Cake was ok but not particularly good and the price-performance ratio wasn't right either.

We just have to communicate that. We had reserved for 8 p.m. and ordered 8:10 p.m. and 5 minutes later the food was on the table !!!! And another 5 minutes later the drinks THAT IS NOT HOW IT WORKS. The advice that this could only be microwave has been vehemently denied, but that's not okay for the price. We will not go there again on our next visit to Wernigerode.

Whoever loves Ratskeller will love it. Rustic furniture, looks very rustic. There is also plenty of seating outside. The food was delicious and really, really, really quickly there.

Beer was delicious, unfortunately there were no more seats available inside, outside it was quite fresh, despite the blankets provided by the restaurant. A gas mushroom would be a great thing at this time of year.

We have been here several times. The waiter M. 2.LJ is doing his best. But that is only possible if everyone in the restaurant participates. Sliced ​​meat with fresh champions, fresh champions look different. Also a hint that these are not fresh champions was talked down. I did not consider a pictorial representation necessary. This is not the way to deal with guests and certainly not with tourists.

Sitting right at the market is great, and the interior also impresses with its beautiful ambience. The service was okay, but the food wasn't convincing. Much too small portions for way too high prices. And unfortunately the food couldn't convince in terms of taste either.

Extremely bad service, wanted to eat with 4 people today, 09/07/2020. Until the table was disinfected, we stood next to it for 10 minutes (ok Corona says hello). After that we sat for another 20 minutes and were ignored! Conclusion: We could not determine whether the food tasted good or not, because after 30 minutes of service desert we left ? ...... We went to eat there 2 times. The service was quick and attentive. The dishes ordered were delicious and reasonably priced for Wernigerode. Gladly again.

I cannot understand the negative reviews! The service was quick and courteous, the food was really tasty and the price / performance ratio was right for the location! Well, we were almost the only guests outside, i.e. there was hardly anything going on. Maybe that's why it happened so quickly! Of course I can't judge that, but everything was great in terms of taste! We would come again anytime!

I accept your apology, even if it sounds like an excuse. The statement was "our cash register does not work, we cannot print out receipts". There is no question of a power failure. Chaos and long waiting times should be communicated to the guest in advance so that they can adjust to it. We had previously been to at least four other downtown restaurants, all of which were well filled and where there were no problems with the checkout. As a replacement for a receipt, I was offered a handwritten receipt with stamp and VAT on request. After 20 minutes of waiting, I was put off at the cash register, the receipt would be brought over to the outside table and collected. I informed the waitress that I would wait another 15 minutes and then leave the restaurant. After another 20 minutes we left and left my business card with the request to send an invoice. It actually came quickly, contrary to expectations, on blank white paper and with handwritten additions regarding the account holder, bank details and tax number. Seriously there is another way.

Super delicious food, great service, nice location, quick cook and prices that are perfectly fine. The place was totally full, you have to expect that it takes 3 minutes longer for the waiters to come to you! We can't complain at all!

Even though we had arrived at 8:30 at the terase, we waited 15 minutes for the waiter to take our orders and when eventually he came, he is putting the "surprise" on the table that the kitchen is closed. Middle of July? Never coming back.

So we came by chance to the Ratskeller and it was a perfect evening. The food was very tasty. The service was very attentive and fast on the way. It was fun to be here.

Saturday 19:30 without table reservation. It was full and in front of us also a couple. What service! Great and responsive. There were 2 more tables, but no more chairs. Wherever you brought it from ... Everything was made possible quickly with a nice smile and friendly words. Also the service on the place really great. We felt very comfortable. Kellerbier very, very delicious. We had the beef roulade and duck breast from the lava stone. Roulade really good. The duck breast was tender but not to my liking. Would have been better fried for me maybe. Side dishes good. Incidentally, we have already eaten here about 3 years ago and can also learn very nice service. Would come again anytime.

Good German Food.

The food was good and the staff were friendly.

Amazing service. The gentleman who served us was perfect. He helped us translate the menu and was so attentive and helpful. Very nice pleasant manner. We went back three times.
